IVY's GARDEN

A digital campaign for Ivy J Studio, this project translates the brand’s architectural approach to jewelry into animated form. The campaign centres around three distinct collections, each brought to life through a dedicated short film. Inspired by the natural life cycle of a flower, the collections trace its evolution from birth to blossom, decay, and eventual fruition. Each jewellery piece meticulously captures one of these stages, with bespoke plant structures designed as sculptural extensions of the designs. Together, the films form a seasonal narrative that reflects the transient beauty and emotional resonance embedded in the natural world. Full compositing of the short films and creation of final stills were developed to express the sculptural delicacy and conceptual depth at the core of Ivy’s work.

ORCHID WHISPER

Representing the moment of birth, Orchid Whisper is set in spring, where new life begins to unfurl. The orchid grows along a slender vertical stem, recalling ivy in its early climb - an echo of the jewelry’s own delicate emergence. This plant form captures the fragility and promise of the flower’s first stage, emphasizing the potential contained within the smallest beginnings.

DAFFODIL

Set in the height of summer, Daffodil embodies the flower’s moment of full bloom. The plant structure was conceived as a fully formed blossom - an expression of vitality, presence, and completeness. Both bold and refined, the piece reflects a state of equilibrium, where material, light, and form converge at their most resolved.

DASHA

Set in autumn, Dasha traces the quiet poetry of decay. The design features leaves caught in motion, decaying —a visual metaphor for endings, transformation, and the cyclical nature of beauty. The jewelry and its accompanying plant structure explore how loss can be as expressive as growth, revealing a different kind of elegance.

SEEDS OF CHANGE

Seeds of Change was an immersive four-day exhibition and pop-up that explored the transformative power of nature through fashion textiles, painting, digital media, and 3D-printed wearable sculptures and installations. Hosted at 25 Harcourt Street, Marylebone, the exhibition showcased the work of four artists: Ivy J Studio, Jz Studio, Svevaraschella, and Sync.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

To visualise the narrative and bring the seasonal progression to life, I employed procedural modelling techniques in Houdini, enabling precise control over the growth patterns and structural logic of each plant form. This approach allowed the animation of organic systems, such as blooming, decay, and movement, to align with the conceptual stages of the jewelry collections. Redshift was used for rendering, with a focus on materiality and lighting to highlight the sculptural qualities and refined surfaces of each piece. This workflow allowed for both creative flexibility and visual continuity across the series, anchoring the digital forms in a tactile, emotive reality.
